OUR STORY:

Rox Ann:

“Over four (4) years ago, I met up with “some guy” at Panera Bread in Monroeville, PA. He was my coworker’s cousin and had recently been laid off, so he was looking for a job…

Because I had recently been promoted, my former position needed to be filled right away. This “guy” was Matt Meshanko.

Since the day we met, we had an instant connection – we both knew we’d be in each other’s lives forever, but at that time, we didn’t know how. I interviewed him for the job, and of course he got it!

So we started working together and our professional relationship grew into a very unique friendship. We became best friends! As a single mom, I struggled with dating, but Matt was always there to cheer me up, give me advice or simply to drop me and my son to the airport. He was just always there!

So after being best friends for almost 2 years, he asked me out on a date. I was nervous – because I had such bad luck with love – and I didn’t want to ruin our friendship. But our first date, was so natural. And since we had been best friends for a while, we both knew what we wanted from a relationship. So everything developed very organically.

He asked me to be his girlfriend soon after our first date in mid summer 2019. We then quickly booked a European trip where we visited Germany, Czech Republic & France. We even jokingly “locked our love” in Paris on the Pont des Arts in September 2019.

I didn’t think much of it as that kind of goofy stuff was typically the things we did together. Little did I know that he had already gotten a ring and quickly proposed after our European trip in front of my son Matthew. It was a very special moment for the three of us.

Looking back at the sequence of events, the entire time we knew each other, we both looked for a loving & trustworthy partner, and all along love was right there in front of us.

So we both truly feel like we each married our best friend. We have built a strong foundation of trust, respect, honesty, loyalty and trustworthiness. As a couple, we survived the long quarantine, Work-from-home situation, homeschooling and the many challenges of living through a pandemic. If we can survive all that, we can survive anything!”
